Cleopas introduces the story by announcing a special gift to be shared.

As Cleopas and Eldad leave Jerusalem and walk to Emmaus, they are joined by a mysterious Stranger who has deep insights regarding Jesus's death.

Starting at the beginning, the Stranger recaps God's creation of man and the fall.

The LORD states that redemption will come through a promised Seed of woman who will crush the head of the serpent - but in the process, He will be injured.

Adam and Eve are exiled from the garden, and two groups arise—one who looks forward to redemption and the Promised Seed and another who forsakes the LORD to follow their own desires.

A bold move is made to stop the promised Seed by polluting the human race. The LORD saves one faithful man and his family from the resulting global judgment.

After the flood, man ignores the command to fill the earth and attempts to form a name for himself at Babel. Their plan is thwarted, and the people are scattered. Soon, the LORD will chose one man and promise to make his name great. From this man will come the promised Seed, whose name will be above all names.

After the nations scatter from the judgment of Babel, one faithful man is unknowingly the target of a satanic attack. Through his struggles, the LORD uses him to provide details about the coming Redeemer.

Cleopas and Eldad wrap up Volume One with a recap of what the reader has learned and a presentation of the Gospel message. If the reader has not already done so, they are encouraged to place their faith in Christ as their Savior.
